Johannesburg we're coming !
So so, finally here is the news: We are going to South Africa !!
Mr. J has just signed his contract for a goodygood offer, and basically we are already on our way, cause in 6 weeks (or in other words by August 15th, tic tic tic, panic!) we want to be there with bag & baggage and with all Paris-remains tucked in safely at storage.
Well, you can imagine how our days look now: calling moving & storage companies, speaking with immigration about my visa & work permit, canceling everything which keeps a good household together (and that in my favourite bureaucratic country: France), figuring out what to ship (very little!!!) and what to store (almost everything!!!), drive a car 1200km to Germany to sell it there and see all my family (many people) across the whole country (biiiig country!!!) hosting my sister for 8 days ("Before you leave Paris I want to visit you again.") and and and. I can't even get my mind around all of it yet.
But the big thing is: The adventure has begun and we will live where others go on vacation. Of course it is also a little scary - security-in-Johannesburg-wise. And also a bit sad - leaving-Paris-after-6-years-wise.
But mainly very very EXCITINGLY GOOD! (All-the-rest-wise).
